Tom Padgett's Child Custody CasePadgett Litigation Update 26On consideration and mutual agreement, this file has been edited to better reflect the message that was intendedFrom: cultabuse@webtv.net (The Truth) Newsgroups: alt.religion.scientology Subject: Padgett LITIGATION Update 26 Date: Sat, 5 Aug 2000 09:21:36 -0400 (EDT) Message-ID: <8948-398C14E0-9@storefull-214.iap.bryant.webtv.net> In response to the demand letter to Kentucky Atty Massamore to get the cult and the newspaper to retract the lies caused by his recent actions, Atty John F. Padgett received in his Massachusetts office on August 4th by fax, an amended motion to have Tom Padgett charged with yet a new criminal action to be heard in court on Monday August 8th. The new accusation in the amended motion reads that Scientologist "Laura Padgett called the local Victim's Advocate Office in Madisonviile, and reported that Tom Padgett was 2 months behind in his child support payments. Massamore, believes this constitutes a breach in an agreement, and that the defendant should be sentenced up to five (5) years in prison (without a jury trial by his peers.) The defense to this is simple: 1. The complaining witness Laura Padgett, is an adherent to the Hubbard mental health sect that requires her to "legally harass" former members and critics. 2. The amended motion is not within the KRS rules of procedure, for timely notice of service and therefore will have to be re-filed. 3. Padgett keeps all his receipts and cancelled checks as proof. 4. Padgett also has receipts of US Postal Service Certified Mail "rejection" where Laura Padgett refuses to receive envelopes from her declared SP enemy ex-husband. While this is standard cult "Disconnection" policy to sever all forms communication, it also allows her to [claim] she didn't get a check in the mail. This new motion will fail. But again it requires expensive travel, lawyers fees, court costs, and lost income to deal with. Cult expert Steve Hassan articulated the aforementioned behavior in a July 17th letter to the Cape Cod Times. This letter and other highlights of Laura Padgett's 8 year legal assault upon Tom Padgett can be found at: http://padgett.taxexemptchildabuse.net It is our firm belief, that since pro-scientologist prosecutor Massamore lacks the integrity and character needed to retract the cultic drivel in the newspaper from OSA Operative Frank Ofman, he's now trying to make up a crime to fit the story. Where's the "ethics" in all of this? Padgett, filed a counter amended motion to have Massamore removed as prosecutor in Laura Padgett's criminal action and for a change of venue to dismiss the case altogether! End. A.B.U.S.E. Alliance for Better Understanding of Scientology Ethics (A.B.U.S.E.) link to: www.taxexemptchildabuse.net www.lisatrust.net www.lermanet.com The late Dr. Joly West, MD, and cult mind control expert, proclaimed "children are at the greatest risk from Scientology!" ------------------------------------------------- "Thank you for your very detailed letter regarding scientology. We haven't yet found a way to attack these jackals who feed on children and young adults who are too emotionally weak to stand by themselves when they reach the age of consent." -------------- U.S. Congressman Leo J. Ryan, shortly before being gunned downed by another [totalitarian] cult in Jonestown, South America.
From: jfp-legal@webtv.net (John Padgett) IN RE: 98-CR-067 Interesting fact: The Victim's Advocate Charles Weatherford, of who Laura Padgett went to with a complaint of Tom on August 2nd, shares an office with Atty Massamore. Weatherford's and Massamore's names are on the same letterhead stationary and share the same telephone and fax numbers. Are we all seeing the picture here? A rural town in in a southern state where a small handful of elected politicos are covering up a major cultic behavioral problem by deflecting false accusations back to Tom. Who's the victim here? jfp |
